Mary Ann is a consultant, speaker, writer and trainer for the health, food and pharmaceutical industries in diabetes, nutrition, wellness and insurance reimbursement. She is nationally recognized for her expertise in multiple diabetes and nutrition subjects, including Medicare and private health insurance reimbursement for “all things diabetes and nutrition”, motivational interviewing, proven keys to sustaining diabetes education programs and the evidence-based diabetes nutrition practice guidelines. Mary Ann especially loves helping clients achieve AADE accreditation for their diabetes education programs with her turn-key materials and also helping them formulate their program’s business plan.
Mary Ann likes to “edu-tain”…educate and entertain health care professionals with fun and interactive strategies. Thus, she sees herself as a Diabetes and Nutrition Department Store! Her latest passion is training health care professionals on how to get and keep their own internal motivation to achieve both their personal and career goals. On a personal note, Mary Ann is on the board of directors of the American Association of Diabetes Educators and has served on numerous committees of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
